On the Friday night episode of Smackdown, 9th October, 2020, the draft split one of the most popular teams in WWE. On a round of picks, WWE moved new Smackdown tag champions Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston to RAW, and Big E remained on Smackdown.
There is talk backstage that Big E is set for a huge push in the company, however the news still hit the team hard. During the latest episode of ‘Talking Smack’, The New Day appeared very vocal on the split, and their feelings on it.
The New Day have been a force in WWE for nearly a decade, and to see them split hurt the WWE universe. With plans set for Big E, and the rest of The New Day on RAW, it will be interesting to see how they develop over the coming months.
