RVD along with real life girlfriend Katie Forbes, have now officially left Impact Wrestling after they did not sign a new short term contract. The former TNA and WWE Champion’s actual contract had already expired, and he was working on a series of shorter agreements. But due to the them leaving IMPACT is there any heat on them for deserting the company?
According to Fightful Select, RVD and Katie Forbes leaving Impact Wrestling as they did, has had no repercussions in terms of hard feelings. It was reported that “the relationship between IMPACT and RVD lasted much longer than originally anticipated.”
There’s no heat between Impact Wrestling and RVD. Katie Forbes and Impact Wrestling also split amicably. An eventual return to the company isn’t an impossibility for either of them.
As to where the couple will end up is a mystery for now. The obvious outcome would be for the duo to end up either back at WWE or to move onto AEW. It has been previously metioned by Ringside News that there has bee no talks between RVD and WWE as of yet. Obviously this doesn’t mean that it cannot happen as WWE have been very unpredictable recently.
