Lars Sullivan Accuser Uses Her Platform To Spread Awareness
Annika Naidoo-Fuge, the yoga instructor involved in Bodyslams exclusive report about Lars Sullivan harassment earlier this week, is speaking out for women over all industries.
I thought it was a good time to use my platform to say what I needed to say. It’s a general issue
Annika took to Instagram to deliver a message that feels very familiar from woman around the world who have suffered the same type of abuse.
Annika was quick to note when asked if there was anything she’d like to say to the wrestling community, and she was quick to let people know she isn’t attacking wrestling as she is a fan of the industry herself .
Just that I actually love the WWE – I have done since I was a child and my brother and I used to watch the heartbreak kid and stone cold (showing my age 😂). I’m a huge fan and this is not to blast the wrestling community as a whole.
In light of these accusations against Lars Sullivan, and those that have been raised before, WWE seems to continue giving Lars the National spotlight. As Annika stated, others have been supportive but she noted she has received not so nice messages from fans. Bodyslam asked “Do you feel like not only in the wrestling world but in general that these sort of things fall on deaf ears for the companies”?
Yes I absolutely do – and there needs to be a cultural shift but it’s down to those in charge to implement that
The wrestling community, in general, is a great place to be involved in. It’s the few that ruin it for the masses. Read these word not just as wrestling fan but in life, we all need to do better and Annika’s message echos the change woman around the world fight for every day
