According to Current AEW Star and real life husband to WWE superstar Lana, Miro believes that WWE pulled a Rocky Balboa.
Lana, who had been put through a table 4 straight weeks, won a dual-brand battle Royal to become the #1 contender for Asuka’s Raw Women’s title. This came after losing another tag-team match with Natalya who was later drafted to Smackdown.
Miro expressed his approval on Twitter
This is Lana’s first title opportunity since 2017 in a losing effort to Naomi but she also seems happy to be on the positio,
It really isn’t likely that Lana will come away with the RAW’s Women’s Championship, but the fact she is in that position shows the faith that WWE has in her. Tune in to Monday Night Raw next week to see if she seizes the opportunity
