Real Reason Lars Sullivan’s Return Was Delayed
Lars Sullivan made his return to WWE television after 16 months, to the surprise of many on the October 9th edition of Smackdown.
Many had wondered why Lars Sullivan had taken so long to return from a knee injury which should have been much quicker to recover from. The answer was apparently revealed in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which would go on to state that an infection in his knee had slowed recovery considerably.
Despite this Lars had apparently been ready for some time but the WWE management wanted to hold off his return for the shock factor prior to the draft.
Of course his return to WWE did not come without controversy, when news emerged that he had made hateful, hurtful, homophobic and racists remarks on an online message board. He was made to attend sensitivity training by the WWE at the time. It did not help matters that just days after his return, inappropriate comments he had made to a woman on Instagram appeared online.
