For those who don’t watch IMPACT Wrestling, I implore you to go and give it a watch. One of the top stars of the show is Sami Callihan who has had a great 2020. During a recent interview with Fightful Select, the former Impact Wrestling World Champion discussed his current status and what his future holds.
Sami Callihan is currently working in a work with Ken Shamrock. Callihan knows how important fitness is in this business, and he’s recently lost 25 pounds going into Bound for Glory 2020. Callihan also discussed he will joining the cast of Talk ‘N Shop A Mania 2, which will air in the month of November.
Callihan also discussed his current character in IMPACT and how he wants all his characters to fit in reality. Callihan is currently a ‘hacker’ within IMPACT wrestling and uses that to his advantage. Callihan is desperate for his character not to look “hokey or corny”, and he wants it to be taken seriously.
Callihan would also mention his WWE release and the concern he had from leaving the promotion. He also stated he opted out of the non-compete clause because he wanted people to keep talking about him. With alot of the talent that has recently joined IMPACT coming from WWE, Callihan also discussed how he is friends with alot of the talent, and he enjoyed talking to them about their experiences.
