Eric Bischoff and Bret Hart have never really had a good relationship. Back on Sam Roberts Podcast, Bret Hart stated that Eric Bischoff had the Midas touch to kill a persons career.
Bret would say that he started to hate money and that WCW, and Eric Bischoff, would make him hate everything he loved. Bret would go into detail over flying in fancy planes, staying in 5 star hotels and then arriving at the show only to be told he wasn’t needed.
In a recent tweet, a fan would ask Eric Bischoff the following:
Genuine question why do you think Bret is so bitter and twisted? It’s honestly really sad to see as he was one of the best ever but now he’s just the old man who shouts at clouds
Eric Bischoff would reply to the fan with the following,
Perhaps the concussion. Perhaps the stroke. Or perhaps the bitter ending to the story that could have only played out differently in his imagination. Bret was a great talent in many respects. But clearly didn’t live up to his own expectations.
