RAW Superstar Undergoes Name Change
The WWE fanbase has long had mixed opinions on name changes to main roster talent, especially when a first or last name is dropped. Now, a new star has lost his first name on the main roster and it may leave a majority of fans disappointed.
Former independent wrestling and NXT standout Matt Riddle has now had his name shortened to exclude his first name, a change that has happened just today. Though not referenced on Monday’s RAW broadcast, The Original Bro’s WWE roster page has removed his first name from his bio, from the URL to it and and all references to his first name in the short biography written for him.
Riddle is at least in good company, joining former WWE star Rusev and current stars Cesaro, Andrade, Big E, Elias, Murphy, and others in having lost a first or last name.
