Rhea Ripley has been a featured star for the WWE over the last couple of years. The 24-year old Australian became the first NXT UK Women’s Champion almost two years ago, had a reign as NXT Women’s Champion, and even became the first woman or man to compete at WrestleMania while still being officially a member of the NXT roster. It’s clear the WWE sees big things for Ripley, but when will we see her as an official member of Raw or Smackdown?
If you ask Shotzi Blackheart, she could be the next NXT star to get the call.
Blackheart recently spoke to Give Me Sport while promoting Halloween Havoc and gave her thoughts on Ripley and when she should be called up to the main roster.
The main roster is the main goal. That’s why we’re at NXT. So every time someone moves up to the main roster it’s awesome. I think Rhea Ripley [will be called up next]. I don’t know what’s taking so long, honestly! She belongs up there, she’s a superstar. I think very soon she’ll be gone. That makes me sad because she’s one of my favorite tag team partners, but she deserves it!
This is by no means a guarantee she will be the next person called to the main roster, but the support of her peers says a lot about her talent and potential. If Shotzi has her way, we might just see Rhea Ripley on Raw or Smackdown sooner than later.
