Author Believes Donald Trump May Return To WWE Television Soon
It’s Election Day and wrestling fans are casting their ballots as to who they’d like to see become President of the United States. Our current President, Donald Trump, has long standing ties to the WWE. Whether it was the company holding Wrestlemania IV and V at a location he owned or his angle where he shaved Vince McMahon’s hair, Trump has been part of WWE history.
And whether we like it or not, we might see him on WWE television again in the near future.
Lavie Margolin, author of “TrumpMania: Vince McMahon, WWE, and the Making of America’s 45th President” recently sat down with Wrestling Inc. for an interview where he gave his thoughts on whether or not we’ll see the leader of the Make America Great Again movement on WWE television anytime soon.
“If he is elected, I think everything is out the window. He’ll do more of what he wants, and then, if he’s not re-elected and doesn’t continue on, which aren’t necessarily connected elements, he’ll want to be back in the public eye. And that’s one of the first places that will embrace him, and there’s, from what I’ve read or heard, $450 million of debt to pay down. So whatever you can do, that’s certainly a good way to make a couple million.”
The move, more than likely, will draw strong criticism from fans but it ultimately remains in the hands of Vince McMahon.
