NXT Talents Frustrated With Lack Of COVID-19 Protection
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced creative plans to shift and change across the wrestling world. One group affected heavily has been the NXT brand of the WWE. There have been multiple outbreaks on the roster that have shifted people off television and forced quarantines after Performance Center classes thanks to positive tests from talent and coaches.
To nobody’s surprise this has frustrated a lot of people, especially the talent.
Fightful reported that talent wasn’t happy with the way COVID-19 has been handled at the PC and within NXT, especially how it’s caused a lot of things to shift and switch. If you recall, a COVID-19 quarantine forced a member of the NXT roster to not appear on Halloween Havoc who was part of a major angle. In regards to this angle, it’s been reported that NXT officials are high on this particular storyline, as it has helped the person who was supposed to be under the mask, Indi Hartwell, get over further with doing minimal work.
The frustration especially stems from the fact that plans have had to constantly shift and change due to these outbreaks and yet the protocols have remained the same with no extra action taken. Training classes have resumed and there is no daily testing at the PC.
Every company has their own protocols and procedures for COVID-19, but it seems like NXT talent seems to be the unhappiest with how it is being handled here.
