Arn Anderson Talks About WWE’s Booking Of Bray Wyatt
Arn Anderson on his weekly podcast “Arn” was on the subject Hell In The Cell 2015. One match during the PPV was Roman Reigns defeating Bray Wyatt in a Hell In The Cell match.
Arn Anderson was essentially asked if they dropped the ball on waiting to make Bray Wyatt a “top guy”.
I always thought that Bray Wyatt, who had the most creative of characters. That he came up with it, it was a part of him deep down that lived in him. That’s the reason he was able to pull it off. It wasn’t him playing a character, it was just a sliver of the real him amped up and that’s always the characters that get over. I felt like he had a firm grip on it, he was a big physical guy on top of that…. but you gotta win the big ones, Conrad.
Anderson continued to talk about the mishandling of Bray Wyatt’s character.
You have to win the PPVs and he went on a string of just, you know, whoever’s bright idea thought it was this guy’s character is over and he’s doing a great job and he’s a heel and you can beat him every PPV, no you can’t. You should have been shoving him every PPV and had that guy waiting at the end of the rainbow, if it was gonna be a Roman Reigns to pay it off with. You gotta go back and look at those records. I know he like went 0-6 or 0-8 at some point, something ridiculous. You gotta win, you gotta win the big one.
