This weeks guest on Talk Is Jericho was AEW’s Miro, formerly known as Rusev in WWE.
Chris Jericho talked about when Miro has interest in AEW.
It’s funny cause I remember you reached out to me about a year ago or so and said “hey do you think I could come to AEW” I said how long is your contract and you told me whatever 2 years, 3 years. I was like yeah they’re not gonna let you go and you’re like why not? I’m like they’re not gonna let you go dude, there’s no way. You’re like well if I just ask them they’ll let me go. I’m like, it doesn’t work that way now.
Miro then talked about asking for his release in previous years and his feelings on the situation.
I did ask, think about 3 years ago, I did ask. Cause it was another situation I was just unhappy. I talked to one person, the next day that conversation was on the dirt sheets. It was very like, this was the problem like who do you go to, who do you turn to when you’re down. When you need advice, when you need someone to be like hey man you’ll be ok. You have nobody because they are all stooges, somehow it always leaks out and you don’t feel safe. If you don’t feel safe, nowhere to turn to, you’re naked out there.
