Potential Choices For Remaining Survivor Series Men’s Match Revealed
Survivor Series isn’t long from now, and while most of the card is set, the biggest build is who will be on the teams for Raw and Smackdown for the traditional Survivor Series matches. Raw is all but set with only one person left to be named, while Smackdown is lagging behind with only two named.
Raw has already picked AJ Styles, Keith Lee, Braun Strowman, and Sheamus, while the blue brand has only named Kevin Owens and Jey Uso. We should get a clearer idea who will be filling out the Smackdown team on tonight’s show, but Wrestling Observer has reported who some of those final names might be and it’s a shallow pool of talent for Smackdown to choose from.
Observer has said, “The key people open to those three spots look to be Big E, Otis, Seth Rollins, Lars Sullivan, Rey Mysterio, and Murphy.”
This is a precarious situation for Smackdown. Sullivan and Big E are scheduled for pushes on Smackdown, which make them likely targets to make the team, and Murphy and Rollins are positioned to be in a decent place on the card if they aren’t used in a different match or storyline on the show. This is where it gets interesting. Rey Mysterio is still injured but there’s no confirmation if he’s been cleared to compete, and Vince McMahon has given up on Otis.
On the Raw side, all signs point to Drew McIntyre rounding out the team and potentially taking the captain spot for Team RAW. Plans will always change, but that’s what it seems to be right now.
