Will Ospreay Challenges Kazuchika Okada to a match at Wrestle Kingdom 15
Earlier today at NJPW Power Struggle Kazuchika Okada finally had his chance to get his hands on the Great O’Khan, following the Great O’Khan costing Okada a win over Ospreay during the G1 Climax. Ospreay would then on turn his former mentor Okada, attacking him after the bell, turning heel and announcing that he was setting up his own stable The Empire and the Great O’Khan was first recruit.
Okada faced off with both Will Ospreay and the Great O’Khan in a series of tag matches in which he would team with different NJPW Young Lions on the road to Power Struggle tour, unfortunately Will Ospreay and the Great O’Khan managed to secure victory each time. This was the first time Okada had a chance to finally go one on one with the Great O’Khan in a hard fought battle in which the Great O’Khan impressed but Okada would come out the victor.
Following the match Will Ospreay who sat ring side sipping Champaign entered the ring, Ospreay would deliver a promo addressing why he betrayed Okada, explaining that he used him to gain riches and fame in NJPW. Now the only thing left for him to do to gain true success is to end the career of the Rainmaker, challenging him to match at the upcoming Wrestle Kingdom 15 at the Tokyo Dome.
There has been no word on if the British Heavyweight title will be on the line but with the NJPW News Conference scheduled, no doubt the match will be made official and will inform us if the title will be on the line.
