MLW returns to TV Novemeber 18th on Fubu sports, with MLW announcing a blockbuster match for the main event of their Restart. Via DAZN Sports, MLW announced that Davey Boy Smith Jr will finally get his title shot against current MLW heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu.
Davey Boy Smith Jr has been campaigning for a shot at Jacob Fatu for the past year, just last week he spoke exclusively with Alicia Atout, where he would once again call out Contra Units Jacob Fatu. On the final televised MLW show, Davey Boy Smith was attacked by the members of Contra Unit, injuring the second generation star who is now looking for revenge and the gold.
Jacob Fatu has been the MLW Heavyweight champion since defeating Tom Lawler for the belt back in July of 2019, since then he has successfully defended the title against the likes of Brian Pillman Jr, Cima, Ross Von Erich and LA Park at MLW’s first PPV Superfight.
Court Bauer spoke exclusively with DAZN Sport and had this to say on the upcoming match;
“This is a dream match we originally slated for Pay-Per-View this past summer and felt it was the perfect match to give the fans as a thank you for hanging tight and supporting us through #TheRestart,”
