Alex Zayne has been making his name on the independent scene over the last year. He has been a regular for GCW on the east coast, he’s wrestled for IMPACT in October of last year, and he’s been a regular for New Japan’s American based show NJPW Strong.
He recently made sure people knew he was wrestling his final match on the independent scene back on November 8th, and now we seemingly know his next destination.
Dave Meltzer and the Wrestling Observer has reported Zane is heading to the WWE.
Fightful initially reported WWE had been impressed and had interest in Zane, but also noted NJPW officials were as impressed with him. His signing is just another piece of evidence WWE has been taking strong looks at several talents seen on AEW Dark and NJPW Strong.
Zane still has appearances on NJPW Strong to go, and we will report if we hear his signing is confirmed.
