WWE Passed On Jade Cargill Last Year
All Elite Wrestling had Jade Cargill make her debut this past Wednesday on Dynamite and announced very quickly she had been locked into a multi-year deal. However, things could’ve gone very differently for the star who is seemingly aligned with Shaq after signaling his impending arrival in All Elite Wrestling.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cargill had a WWE tryout last year but WWE passed on her. She checks a lot of boxes WWE usually looks for when signing talent, so it is surprising to see they didn’t offer a deal.
She’s also done modeling and had a WWE tryout in 2019 but wasn’t signed. Just based on her look and athletic ability I’m surprised WWE didn’t sign her, but they did a complete tryout and there must have been something they didn’t like.
Cargill has a fitness modeling background, but she also has wrestling training. She has trained with AR Fox’s WWA4 Academy, Heath Slater’s Face 2 Face Wrestling, and she’s worked at QT Marshall’s Nightmare Factory, a strong reason to believe that is where her AEW connections began.
