Zelina Vega’s release seemed to shock a lot of people last night. It was a shock to people in AEW and Impact Wrestling, in addition to fans on the internet when it was announced. Not everyone viewed it as such.
Ringside News has reported that Vega’s firing wasn’t a surprise to many people in the WWE, as they spoke to a source who “saw this coming.”
A tenured member of the creative team said that in regards to her release, mentioning she was “jobbed out” on television and had stopped managing anyone. Other things that didn’t help her cause was her support of Paige talking about unionization and opening her OnlyFans page after the enforcement of WWE’s third party ban.
Another note the site has reported was that Vega sent a legal letter to at least one pro wrestling news site to get them to remove coverage of her OnlyFans page. Surely the sites reporting on the news didn’t help as it probably shed unwanted attention to the account.
