Friday night on SmackDown, Drew McIntyre showed up and told Roman Reigns he had every intention of facing him at Survivor Series. However, it had to be remembered that McIntyre first needed to defeat Randy Orton tonight to regain the WWE Title.
According to Dave Meltzer, McIntyre’s appearance would be leading to something tonight on Raw involving Roman Reigns.
Anyway, per the discussion on last night’s show regarding McIntyre’s appearance on Smackdown, it all does make sense at the end of the show tonight. At least at this moment.
Reigns and McIntyre is a match the WWE could be potentially setting up for WrestleMania. Whatever the case could be for when they plan on having the match, it is one they want to have in a big money fashion. Since the last set of singles matches these two have had, their fortunes have shifted significantly. Reigns is now cemented as a top guy and potentially the top heel in the company, and McIntyre is firmly planted in the main event. Whenever it happens, WWE wants to make it a big match.
