Update On Timetable For New ThunderDome Location, Potential Date For Live Fans

There has been a lot of talk about the future of the WWE ThunderDome lately. With their lease running out at the end of November and the need to clear the Amway Center by early December in time for the Orlando Magic to start their season, they have had to find an alternative home. While all signs seem to point to them using Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, there has also been talk about the WWE making use of the CWC temporarily for Raw and SmackDown.

Reliable source on Twitter WrestleVotes has reported the current plan is to start holding ThunderDome shows at Tropicana Field in mid-December through WrestleMania season. The plan would then be to bring live fans back to events starting the Raw after WrestleMania and possibly for the Royal Rumble.

Newest plan now is to have ThunderDome shows at Tropicana Field in Tampa starting mid December thru Mania season. Fans at the Royal Rumble still possible, potentially even at the Trop in TB. WWE is hoping to start traditional live arena shows w/ fans the night after WrestleMania.

With the earlier report about holding shows at the Capitol Wrestling Center, all of this would line up with their plan, allowing them time to vacate the Amway Center and move things from Orlando to St. Petersburg, including the brief stop at the CWC for a week or two of shows. As always, time will tell what happens eventually, but the timeline seems to be growing clearer for what they intend on doing and how soon we will see them in their next location.
