Vince McMahon Met With Chelsea Green Prior To Debut
WWE seems all in on Chelsea Green. Before her injury, she was booked to win the fatal four-way she debuted in, and they even looked to have a new nickname or identity for the former Laurel Van Ness. She’s had major support from Paul Heyman, something she had while he was the executive director of Raw.
Apparently the support was enough to get her a meeting with Vince McMahon, according to a report by Fightful. Their report states he recently met with her and informed her she would be debuting “imminently.” Most of the people they talked to heard the meeting with Vince “went positively,” which probably already helped her status after getting the support from Heyman. Heyman had desires to push Green as a top star before he was removed from his position on Raw.
Green’s debut was a big up and down, as the original script had Liv Morgan winning that match, only for it to be changed the day of the show. Green then got injured during the match, which forced WWE to return to the initial plan of Morgan winning.
If the meeting wasn’t an indication of how well the plans went, WWE had planned on giving her a new nickname, as “Victorious” was floating around on internal rundowns involving Chelsea Green.
