WWE recently posted a job listing for a head writer, something curious considering there hadn’t been any sound of any major writers on the creative team had been listed on recent releases in the company.
Ringside News has reported the position could apply to a couple of different positions on the creative team. One of those would be that WWE is looking to put someone in charge of storyline continuity.
A tenured member of the creative team told the site the term “lead writer” in WWE is “the same as a Vice President job in corporate world. It can mean many different things.”
The company once tried to put out a job search for someone in charge of continuity in March of last year. When Ringside News asked about the position, they were told the position was filled “multiple times” with their source telling them “those people never last.”
As far as this position goes, there’s few people who know what this means, but applicants will soon find out.
