There were several stars past and present from the WWE at the ThunderDome for Undertaker’s Final Farewell. Many people came together to honor The Deadman, but one absent name that was noticed was Edge. The duo had their fare share of battles, and it was reported that The Rated R Superstar was in Orlando for Survivor Series. Strangely, Edge never appeared on camera, and there could have been a reason why.
PWInsider reported Edge was at the Amway Center, but never appeared on camera. There is a theory out there that the reason this happened was because Edge is returning from injury, so WWE didn’t want him to appear on camera just yet alongside inactive wrestlers. Edge still has time left on his current contract, and he is expected for a big WrestleMania match next year. The idea of Edge showing up on television for The Final Farewell could have blown the surprise that Edge was ready to return to action.
Whatever the case is, we hope to see Edge back on TV soon. He has been quiet about his recovery, and it’s not out of the realm of possibility his rehab is almost done, but there has been no update from anyone on his recovery. Hopefully we’ll know more soon enough.
