Xavier Woods’ UpUpDownDown Channel Gains New Co-Commissioners
Some people have been negatively impacted by the WWE’s third party band. Several superstars were forced to quit using Twitch and other services to interact with fans and put a little extra money in their pocket.
One star that hasn’t necessarily been affected by this is Xavier Woods. From the beginning, the WWE has seemingly been supportive of his UpUpDownDown YouTube channel. They have sold merchandise of the channel on their site and the channel often features fellow WWE and NXT stars playing all sorts of games.
On a recent stream on the channel, Xavier Woods lost the channel’s own Survivor Series as Tyler Breeze’s LeftRightLeftRight team took the victory. Having tried to avoid defeat, Woods negotiated with the BRE-start team to become co-commissioners of the channel. The BRE-start team is Daktoa Kai, Jessamyn Duke, Mia Yim, and Shayna Baszler which is a play on the group often referring to themselves as the Best Roommates Ever. In response to getting the four’s help, the group negotiated “co-commissioner” spots.
Now while this may sound like a bit, Fightful has reported that the people involved are actually going to contribute to the channel and learn the workings so they can add and produce more content for the channel. The plan is going to allow for lots of freedom and creativity, with producers training them how it all works. With a significant reach on the channel (it has 2.23 million subscribers as of this writing), and the channel has a huge social media following. Though this won’t solve every problem, this could be a sign of how the company intends on moving forward with their talent and streaming.
