Anna Jay Talks About The Advice Jerry Lynn Has Given Her To Help Improve In The Ring
AEW Star Anna Jay has made a huge impact since her debut with the company earlier this year. Her stellar year has not gone unnoticed as she has also been nominated for PWI’s Rookie of the Year
She also gained the attention of the Dark Order, as they were quick to recruit her into the fold and gave her the Number 99. Since joining the Dark Order she has quickly become one of the pillars of AEW’s women’s division.
Anna Jay was recently a guest on AEW’s Unrestricted podcast with Aubrey Edwards and Tony Schiavone. During the interview she talked about backstage producer, former ECW, WCW, and WWE Superstar Jerry Lynn.
Anna spoke about Jerry’s influence on her career since joining the AEW roster. She said that every time that she would have a match, Lynn would tell her the little things that she could work on, and how much that meant to her. She went on to say that he would always come up to her and tell her what she could do next time, and how much it has helped her.
“Every time that I would have a match, he would tell me little things that I could work on, and it just really meant a lot to me because I never went to him. I didn’t really know who to go to other than the person who was coaching my match. So he would always come up to me and say, ‘Hey, you can do this next time.’ And every time I would listen, and it would really help because it’s the little details that matter.”
Anna Jay wrestled what might have been one of her best matches of her career to date on this last week’s episode of Dynamite, as she challenged AEW Women’s World Champion Shida.
