WWE May Have Tried To Hide Braun Strowman’s Injury
The biggest story of the week is Braun Strowman’s injury. It had been rumored for most of the week despite Strowman being rumored to be in the main event of TLC against Drew McIntyre. Now his injury has been confirmed and Strowman looks likely to miss the show.
We have been reporting that there was no listing of Strowman on any internal injury report, but despite the company penciling him in for the match they suspended him indefinitely on air and booked a triple threat match without him to determine a new number one contender.
We then reported the injury may have happened at Survivor Series, with a few talents having seen him getting his knee worked on. Dave Meltzer had reported the writing team still hasn’t been told that Strowman is off the pay per view, and Ringside News confirmed that as of last night that was true.
They spoke with a tenured member of the creative team that told them “this is the type of thing that Vince (McMahon) and Bruce (Prichard), or both could say, ‘let’s keep this information from getting out there.'” Their source also told them there are “too many games being played with Bruce close to Vince.”
It seems like there is currently a lack of communication and a lack of trust going around in regards to leadership at the top. This seems to be a story of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing, especially because Strowman’s injury leaked despited an attempt at secrecy. At this point, Strowman’s injury looks to be one that will be keeping him off the show.
