British Wrestling Promotion WAW Set To Return To Action Following UK Lockdown
Following the latest news from the APPG Wrestling, noting that once the current UK lock down comes to an end on 2nd December promotions can once again start running shows with fans as long as they run in accordance with the performance arts guide lines. Along with this news, Wrestling academies/schools can also once again can re-open to the public as long as they adhere to the guide lines set up for Grass roots sports and Gyms/Leisure Centres.
Taking to twitter yesterday British wrestling promotion World Asscociation of Wrestling (WAW) are ready to return to action with their wrestling school opening on December 3rd and a live event on the 5th of December.
Following lockdown the British counties will be placed into 1 of 3 tiers depending on the restrictions needed and Corona infection rates in those counties. WAW are based in Norfolk, Norwich which will be place into tier 2, which will allow them to open up their School once again as well as return to action with a live crowd as long as it’s either at 50% capacity or maximum of 1000 fans depending on which is lower. There is a link provided with the tweet released yesterday that sends you to their updated health and safety policy as how to purchase tickets which must be purchased in advance.
WAW is run by the Knight Family and was recently feateued on BBC TV Channel in the UK show “Step Into the Ring” available on the BBC iPlayer.
