TLC is coming up on December 20th and despite Vince McMahon approving only four matches to this point, none of them have any particular stipulations attached to them, including ones that would feature the titular tables, ladders, and chairs.
However, one of those matches seems to be heading for one of those stipulations and it seems to make the most sense. After almost two months of going through tables, Lana and Asuka have two straight victories over Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler and may just have a Women’s Tag Team Title match in their future.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer not only reaffirmed that was one of the approved matches, but it will likely have a tables match stipulation.
“The idea is that the tag team title match will be on the pay-per-view, probably a tables match.”
It probably shouldn’t surprise anyone that a tables match would be the stipulation here, nor would it be much of a surprise if Lana ended up putting Nia through a table to get her ultimate comeuppance at the show. The story seems to be heading in this direction, and we might just see new Women’s Tag Team Champions at the pay per view.
