WWE Having To Shift Top Of Raw Card, Making “Huge Changes”

WWE had several plans for Raw after Survivor Series. However, in pro wrestling, plans are always subject to change for whatever reason. Whether it’s a change in creative direction or an injury, things happen.

Braun Strowman was originally penciled in to be the next opponent for Drew McIntyre, but his injury has thrown the top of the card into a state of disarray. An injury like this can do a lot, and in this case it has caused a massive chain reaction.

Fightful has reported that WWE had to shift “virtually everyone at the top of the RAW roster” following Survivor Series because of Strowman’s injury. Strowman’s injury caused them to create the matches that inevitably lead to the triple threat match with AJ Styles, Riddle, and Keith Lee.

The shift has apparently changed around “several programs” as needed, the report stating they were adjusted “anywhere from 1-3 weeks.” The programs shifted weren’t noted, but that could be a big reason Raw’s script wasn’t finished until less than half an hour before the show began.
