Winter Is Coming concluded with a big main event, and it didn’t fail to deliver.
Kenny Omega defeated Jon Moxley under dubious circumstances to be crowned the third World Champion in company history.
Omega looked to be injured at one point, leading to Don Callis leaving the ring to check up on his friend and someone commentary put over as being like family to him. After Callis grabbed a microphone and tried to implore the referee to stop the match, Moxley punched Callis for trying to interfere, leaving Callis to drop the microphone. Omega picked it up once it rolled into the ring and nailed Moxley with it, setting him up for an assault that ended with a One Winged Angel for the victory.
This capped off a night of surprise and intrigue that included a shock debut and an ending that now leaves more questions than answers for next Wednesday on Dynamite.
