Kenny Omega Responds To Complaints From Fans About His Status As Both AEW World Champ And EVP
Kenny Omega balances a fine line between being one of All Elite Wrestling’s Executive Vice Presidents and one of its on air talents. Last night’s World Title win highlighted that in a manner that was equal parts praised and criticized.
Fans praised the match and the post-match angle received quite a lot of positive buzz on social media, AEW’s critics have remarked about how a person in that position of power is now the company’s top champions and three of the four EVPs are now holding gold.
A user on Twitter pointed out that AEW seems to be getting a free pass for the move and Omega responded in a confident manner that also seems to be hinting even more at the return of his Cleaner gimmick. He also wasn’t afraid to tell the fan that he was relishing in their complaints.
Omega was definitely in character, but his response will no doubt draw more eyes on him.
