The Young Bucks Say They Wanted IMPACT Partnership For A Couple Of Years
The AEW and Impact Wrestling partnership has created quite a bit of buzz over the last 24 hours. Nick and Matt Jackson even took to social media to tease more of that partnership, posting an old photo of them as their TNA gimmick Generation Me.
The Young Bucks recently spoke to the Living The Gimmick podcast and asked about the new partnership. Jackson revealed the duo had wanted to do this for a couple of years.
“I’ll tell you this, two years ago this was something that Nick and I brought up that we wanted to get this going, and for whatever reason it just didn’t work out. I don’t know if that was more on our side, or what, but we just couldn’t agree to what the creative would be. When Nick and I were stopping and popping up at the indie shows and going to AAA in Mexico that was one of the suggestions we had, ‘what if we showed up in Impact?’”
“This is something we’ve been whispering in Tony Khan’s ears for two years. It’s a lot of collaboration and partnering with everybody and working together this is what we’ve always done.”
The Bucks also added they had wanted a partnership with Impact for “a very long time.” Now the duo have that partnership and things could only get more interesting from here on out.
