CM Punk Thinks NXT Roster “Should Feel Embarrassment” Pat McAfee Cuts Better Promos Than They Do
CM Punk hasn’t been afraid to be critical of WWE’s creative process, whether he was employed by the company or not. He’s recently had some criticism for the NXT brand and it’s made people take notice.
Punk commented how he believed NXT needs to fix their writing and recently clarified that on Twitter. Punk used Pat McAfee’s promos on NXT as a high point of the show and he thinks this should be making the NXT roster angry and wanting to do better.
McAfee has experience talking thanks to his gig as a radio host, but his added passion for pro wrestling has made his promos some of the most compelling in the company right now and Punk believes the roster should be stepping up and rising to the challenge to do better than someone who isn’t a full time wrestler.
In fact, his recent tweet said the NXT roster “should feel embarrassment, and subsequently USE said feeling to better themselves.”
NXT has some good talkers, but it seems like Pat McAfee is running circles around them right now.
