More details are coming out about the Impact Wrestling/AEW partnership, and a lot of it looks good.
After Kenny Omega won the AEW World Title, Don Callis said Kenny Omega would explain his actions on Impact Tuesday night. According to Wrestling Inc., fans shouldn’t get their hopes up too much beyond that.
The site has learned AEW’s partnership with Impact is “not currently scheduled to be that intertwined.” Omega’s appearance on Impact is a one-off deal, done as a favor for Callis. The relationship between Omega and Callis is not a storyline, as the two are close friends with one another and Omega did request Callis call the action for his World Title match. The idea was liked by Tony Khan and approved, and the trade off seems to be that The Good Brothers would come to AEW for a match.
It’s said Omega’s appearance will “likely be used to set up the [Good] Brothers coming to AEW.”
While their opponents haven’t been revealed, the mindset is that their opponents will likely be The Young Bucks. This is a developing story and we will have more on it here at Bodyslam.
