Update On Potential AEW/NJPW Partnership

AEW vs. NJPW: Dream Matches (Part Two)

AEW and New Japan have no official partnership, but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen.

The company has started teasing many things involving the company, and it’s all been subtle. Jon Moxley referenced being the IWGP U.S. Title vaguely in a promo, Hiroshi Tanahashi was in a video congratulating Chris Jericho for 30 years in the business, and Kenny Omega on the last Dynamite reminded everyone of one of his greatest rivals by recreating his Rainmaker pose, something the announcers called attention to for anyone who didn’t instantly notice it.

AEW has built partnerships with AAA, China-based OWE, and the NWA recently, and now it seems they’ve added IMPACT Wrestling to their list of partners. The list of companies they’re working with may not be done anytime soon. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported AEW has a mindset “to work with everyone.”

Many people have felt that the partnership with AEW and NJPW is more likely and would do much better with the departure of Harold Meij. This is clearly an exciting time to be a wrestling fan, and things may just be beginning with all these partnerships.
