Update On Jaxson Ryker’s Status Following Wesley Blake And Steve Cutler’s Return
SmackDown had a surprise return when Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake returned to the show as support for King Corbin when he faced Murphy who had the Mysterio family at ringside. Absent from the group was the third member of the faction, Jaxson Ryker.
The trio hadn’t been seen on television since Jaxson Ryker posted some very controversial tweets supporting Donald Trump and being against the Black Lives Matter movement. Ryker put enough heat on the trio that a planned Tag Team Title run on Smackdown was nixed in addition to them being pulled from television.
With the duo now returning to television, there are questions if Ryker will be returning with them, and according to Fightful, the outlook doesn’t look good for Ryker.
The report has said there is still a lot of heat on Ryker for the comments, to the point that he has not been brought to the WWE Performance Center or the ThunderDome for any shows and there is no indication this will change now or in the future. At one point, Ryker wasn’t featured on the internal roster sheet, with the company saying it “wasn’t worth the risk of bad publicity of him being on TV.” It was also said top WWE officials weren’t fans of his to begin with when he got called up to the main roster.
The heat seems to be all on Ryker though, because their report stated something that had been said numerous times in the months between their removal from television and now. It stated people within the company had felt bad for Cutler and Blake having been caught up in this matter. They seemingly don’t share Ryker’s views, even to the point Cutler and Blake distanced themselves from him backstage and allegedly had a meeting with Mark Carrano to discuss the situation.
