NXT has had its share of COVID-19 issues during the pandemic, and we recently found out a top star of the company has tested positive for the event. Apparently they aren’t the only one.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has revealed multiple talents have tested positive and are all “known” stars, but none of those positive tests should affect tonight’s Takeover card.
“There were a couple more positives in NXT this week. Nobody in WarGames, but not like unknowns either, but nobody at WarGames.”
Meltzer noted that they were going to test everyone on Saturday for COVID-19, so yesterday would have given them actual final results about whether or not everyone booked for the show can compete. He also added it wouldn’t be a surprise if something did happen to change bookings, but they only discovered two positive COVID-19 tests and none of them were booked for Takeover. The two tests would be the one mentioned earlier and the one referenced here as well.
