Absent WWE Star Returns On Main Event
Ever since Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake made their return to the main roster this past Friday on SmackDown, all eyes have been on Jaxson Ryker.
Ryker’s tweets in support of Donald Trump and his inflammatory comments about the Black Lives Matter movement created a situation where keeping Ryker in the locker room seemed impossible at the time. The Forgotten Sons and Ryker were removed from television and a planned push for the group was canceled that was scheduled to go as far as Ryker and Cutler getting the Smackdown Tag Team Titles.
The heat seemed to be so bad that Ryker was altogether removed from the internal roster sheet and wasn’t being flown into shows at the PC or the ThunderDome. As recent as this past weekend, a report came out that based on all that heat, in addition to the fact that many WWE officials weren’t high up on him to begin with that he’d be released imminently.
This will not be the case. Spoilers for WWE Main Event are ahead, so if you plan on watching, please do not continue.
Ringside News was sent a photograph from someone inside the ThunderDome revealing that Ryker is appearing on Main Event this week alongside Elias. It’s not said what his role is, but Ryker seems to be put in a storyline with The Drifter going forward.
Considering Elias’ hint of a new direction for him, Ryker could be playing a part in that. We will see what happens from here out.
This is obviously a breaking story, and we will have more on it as it develops.
