After reporting Jaxson Ryker was looking to be released soon, Ryker returned to television at the ThunderDome as he is making his return on WWE Main Event.
The former enforcer for The Forgotten Sons now has a new role as Elias’ heavy, a similar role as he had in the group. We now have more information on his return.
Fightful Select has reported “a lot of people” were surprise when Ryker returned at Elias’ side. Creative is considering this move a “dry run” before they move the pair to Monday Night Raw.
The report has said that putting them on Main Event in a dry run like this is to pitch the idea to Vince McMahon. This is still coming at a time, however, where many people on SmackDown last week were saying Ryker wasn’t the risk to put on television.
If McMahon likes the pairing, there’s a good chance they’ll end up on television together on Raw very soon. However, it all depends on his reaction because as soon as the news broke out, it already seemed like many people on social media weren’t particularly excited to see Ryker return.
