Trey Miguel Opens Up On His Decision Not To Sign With WWE
Trey Miguel has become one of pro wrestling’s hottest free agents following his IMPACT Wrestling departure. The member of The Rascalz was rumored to be making a decision to jump to the WWE with his group mates Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz, but when the new PC class was revealed, only Wentz and Xavier were part of the group.
Triple H was even asked about not signing Miguel last night during a post-TakeOver media call, but avoided answering the question in a professional away. With rumors that Miguel is juggling offers from both WWE and AEW, Miguel finally set the record straight on Twitter.
This morning on the social media app, Miguel explained that his nephew had been born prematurely and was in isolated care and he felt seeing him healthy was far more important than any decision about his career right now.
I feel like it is worth mentioning AGAIN that a month and a half ago my Nephew was born prematurely and is in isolated care until what would have been his actual due date. Meeting a healthy baby boy is more important to me than anything else. I’m sure you all can respect that.
Professional wrestling is a difficult profession that doesn’t often allow you to make such personal decisions about family. Miguel opting to put family before anything else is understandable and hopefully respected by fans everywhere.
Best wishes go to Miguel’s family and here’s to hoping that Miguel is able to have his nephew healthy and safely at home when the time comes for him to make that decision.
