More On Roman Reigns’ WrestleMania 37 Opponent
A lot of talk has gone on today about who Roman Reigns will find himself opposite of at WrestleMania 37 next year. While there has been rumors of Roman Reigns going one on one with The Great One, rumors of The Rock being at WrestleMania seem to be at this point greatly exaggerated.
We’ve already talked about how The Rock has certain conditions he would like met if he were to return for a match right now, and we’ve also talked about potential opponents if they can’t meet those conditions. We can also say at this point in time another person that isn’t in line to face Reigns at WrestleMania.
So we know who it won’t be and we know who it could be if it’s not The Rock, but who’s really in the discussion? The answer is unfortunately as clear as the answers we’ve reported today, which isn’t much.
Ringside News has reported that with WWE not really booking that far in advance, any talk of a match shouldn’t be an indicator where something is going. They have barely managed to book themselves to TLC, so there is no match proposed yet for Roman Reigns.
They spoke with a tenured member of the creative time and they were told there are a few ideas in play, and the mindset is “probably not Rock.” We did report Rock and Vince McMahon are talking just in case something could change, but the match isn’t even being discussed as a serious possibility right now.
We have a way to go on the road to WrestleMania, but with no planned Royal Rumble winner, with not much planned beyond this week, we may have to wait a while to see who’s going to step up to the plate to face The Tribal Chief.
