Joey Ryan Seeks Extension In Lawsuit Against Accusers
Joey Ryan has lashed out in the wake of the Speaking Out movement, issuing lawsuits against his accusers, Impact Wrestling, and a libel lawsuit against a former RoH Wrestler. Now he’s looking to make sure those see their day in court.
Heel By Nature has reported Ryan has filed an extension to serve multiple parties in his lawsuit against his accusers. Ryan is trying to sue for damages and loss of income in the wake of his accusers naming him during the Speaking Out movement.
Ryan’s case had a court date on December 7th, where Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald issued a warning stating the cases will be dismissed due to “lack of prosecution.” Ryan has until December 23rd to respond or the case will be dismissed on December 28th.
Ryan’s attorney filed an extension, citing “issues with serving some of the plaintiffs.” The service One Legal was used to process the servers and had issues with the addresses provided by the plaintiffs.
Ryan’s attorney did note that they received a reply from an attorney from one plaintiff they had “considered fairly threatening.”
Ryan will have a busy December in the courts, as former RoH wrestler Pelle Primeau will seek to have his libel lawsuit dropped on December 21st.
