Latest On EC3’s RoH Status
Since his release from WWE earlier this year, EC3 has built this stage of his career around the idea of being able to control his narrative. Part of that comes with being able to choose what he wants to do, and so far he’s successfully done so.
After a brief stint with Impact Wrestling, EC3 found himself in Ring of Honor, building toward a match at Final Battle with Jay Briscoe, but that looks to be the end of EC3’s obligations with RoH. In a report by Fightful, ECW said that he will be “freed up” again at the start of 2021. Thankfully, EC3 has options going into the new year.
Impact Wrestling would like to see EC3 return to the company, but Impact would like him to sign a long term deal and that is not something he’s sure he’d like to do at this point. The key to all of this is EC3 isn’t sure he would like to be “nailed down long term” in a contract, possibly given past frustrations with such things. While it’s unclear who else has a strong interest in bringing him in at the start of the new year, we know at least Impact is interested in his services and he has the freedom to control his narrative as he pleases.
