Impact Wrestling Re-Shot Entire Cinematic Match After Rejecting Initial Cut
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, cinematic matches have become quite the innovation in professional wrestling. Cutting matches in the style of fight scenes out of movies, they’ve added a new layer to feuds and what pro wrestlers can do.
Moose and EC3 delivered a cinematic style match at this year’s Bound For Glory for Impact Wrestling, capping off EC3’s second tenure with the company, and true to EC3’s desire to control his narrative in a life post-WWE, he and Moose shot the match to match the vision they had in mind for it. In a new report by Fightful Select, that didn’t fly with the company.
Their report reveals that the duo shot the match on their own and were asked to re-shoot it by Impact as they wanted things done a certain way and the match didn’t deliver that.
The original match didn’t make it to air, so we’ll never know what directions and liberties the duo took creatively, so for now this may just remain a lost piece of wrestling we never get to see.
