Tessa Blanchard has been quite the topic of discussion lately.
The former Impact Wrestling World Champion left the company earlier this year and many people felt it was a matter of time before she found herself in AEW or the WWE. Then recently came conflicting reports over AEW’s interest in the third generation superstar and questions began to build whether or not she was on the verge of signing anywhere.
Blanchard last wrestled back in September for Warrior Wrestling in Chicago, with not much heard from her since then. And while the rumors keep on swirling, we know that AEW has an interest, there is no current talk in the WWE about bringing her in. She remains in contact with Triple H, but that’s about it. There has been no plans to sign her, whether it’s right now or following her Impact release.
Adding to this, Fightful has reported Blanchard is not contracted anywhere, despite recently appearing at a signing where the banner said she was “a part of AAA.” They’ve added that Tessa “has been taking time away from the ring.”
While she is not retired, she is currently enjoying married life with her husband Daga and choosing to be selective on her bookings during this pandemic for safety. That’s something hardly anyone can be upset on.
