Jim Ross Talks Tony Khan Being Ready For AEW Since He Was A Child
WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross is one of the mainstays of the AEW commentary team. He is also very happy working for Tony Khan.
Ross spoke on his Grilling JR podcast, where he talked about Tony Khan and what Khan did in order to prepare for the role as President of AEW. He was booking professional wrestling matches at the age of 10. In the end, it laid the foundation for what he eventually became.
Ross also praised Khan’s love for professional wrestling and enthusiasm as a whole. He also considers him a good friend, which is very important to Ross.
“Tony Khan is a very talented guy. He’s the best boss I’ve ever worked for. That’s not a knock on Vince. I’m comparing a 35-year-old guy who loves the business. Tony Khan has been writing wrestling TV shows since he was 10 years old. He’s been practising for this gig that he has right now since he was a kid. He shares that enthusiasm. It’s very contagious. I’m a big Tony Khan fan for several reasons. He pays me well and he’s a friend. He’s great to work for. I see how he operates. He motivates talent very well. I’m very blessed to be where I’m at right now.”
Ross revealed recently that he is likely going to end his career in AEW. As he has signed a multi-year contract with the company, it will still be a long time until he retires.
