Every now and then corporate synergy turns out in amusing ways.
TNT has built an annual tradition of playing A Christmas Story for 24 hours straight on Christmas Eve into Christmas Day, and AEW has partnered with the network to have a little fun with the annual tradition.
AEW has recreated iconic scenes from the movie to air between showings as they continue to promote Dynamite, using AEW stars to fill in key roles. Playing the main character Ralphie is none other than MJF, who even dons the infamous bunny onesie from the movie. A press release stated that you’ll see these clips during commercial breaks and on TNT’s YouTube channel starting December 24th.
TNT is bringing “A Christmas Story” into the ring as AEW’s wrestlers reenact iconic scenes from the beloved film. Beginning December 24, the scenes will air as interstitials during TNT and TBS’ 24-hour “A Christmas Story” marathon, as well as online at TNT.tv and TNT’s YouTube page.
