Jordan Oliver Discusses Potential Heat He Had Working For Both CZW And GCW Early In His Career
Jordan Oliver has been a mainstay for both MLW and GCW over the last couple of years, but not many people know he was trained by the CZW Dojo.
The member of Injustice and rising star on the independent scene was making his debut for GCW in 2017 just a few short weeks after what looked to be a situation that would cause friction between the company he was getting a shot with and the company that trained him. Oliver spoke to Fightful about the situation, noting he was afraid to get heat from either one or both companies at the time.
“It was a super weird situation, because I trained at CZW. That was a couple of weeks after the Cage of Death situation where Nick Gage and Brett Lauderdale jumped the guard rail and got in the cage. So things were not well between the two promotions. I got a lot of heat for doing that show. I didn’t realize the magnitude of the opportunity of the time, because I was worried about (all the heat I would get). I had to take the opportunity, because I asked for it. It was just scary because of everything going on.”
Oliver wound up being able to work both promotions regularly, and so far has continued to do so in addition to his MLW appearances. The rising star is still only 21 years old and has a lot more to show the world of wrestling, so it seems like he’ll keep taking every opportunity that comes his way.
