U.K. Promoter Called Out For Inappropriate Conversation With Underage Girl As Well As Abusive And Racist Actions

The Speaking Out movement has made people more cognizant of some of the darker parts of independent wrestling. The overflow of information that has come out in the wake of the movement hasn’t just seen to it that some talent is no longer able to harass and prey on people, but it has seen the United Kingdom look into taking more steps to regulate independent wrestling in the hopes of making it a safer environment for all.
Of course, there will still be stories of terrible wrestlers and promoters and one has come to light. UK pro wrestler Lucia Lee took to Twitter to call out promoter Liam Kenny.
Kenny, also known as Kenny Killbaine or Gaston Killbaine is the promoter of New World Entertainment, has been accused of several accusations of harassment and racism. Screenshots shared by Lee revealed that not only has Kenny attempted to groom a 15-year old trainee for a sexual relationship, but has manipulated female talent to continue to work with him by displaying images of self-harm.
Lee’s initial accusation revealed that Kenny was asking around about her relationship, the screenshots below revealing that he was asking about it to other people feeling that female talent had to disclose their relationships to avoid “speaking out bulls*it.”
Kenny then continued to add to the accusations, revealing that she had found out Kenny was only booking independent talent Hari Singh to appeal to an Asian demographic. His messages then reveal he believes the WWE only put the title on Jinder Mahal to appeal to a demographic and not because of merit.
The next screenshot Lee revealed showed Kenny tried to book her at the age of 17 and asked for her to come to his house and to give him her Snapchat account so he could follow. During the course of that conversation, he revealed he had been self-harming. Please note the following image is graphic and you may want to skip this.
And the final screenshots revealed came from Facebook where a person named Stu Allen revealed that Kenny had been grooming a young girl into a sexual relationship.
This is a developing story and we will have more on it as it develops. This is obviously a very sensitive story and it’s also quite disturbing and graphic.
